"We come here every year when we visit and typically it's amazing. This time was pretty poor service and the food wasn't as good. Definitely pass on the fish fry. Brie burger is amazing. Poutine and brussel sprouts are great. Highly recommend happy hour with great drink specials and half-off apps from 2-5 m-f."

"Food was excellent, as always. Boomtown, never disappoints my taste buds. I had a blueberry adult beverage That was very refreshing and tasty. I had the brisket Mac and cheese and my daughter had tacos and they were delicious as well. We shared the brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were so savory. For Friday night, They were very busy. We arrived about 830. There was a party room that was full of about 40 people. And then they were expecting 70 more for a hockey party and we were a group of 20. They accommodated us, even though we did not have a reservation. And we were still seated fairly quickly. No complaints on them. Trying to organize our seats. The only complain to have with services that are waitress. Seem to be very irritated with us from the get go. As a former waitress understanding, wanting to be organized, but being that our whole party heading to arrived yet she wanted to know who is on each ticket. And that was not information. We could share yet because we didn’t know how the students were gonna sit at our table. Either way, it got resolved fairly seamlessly. But we all felt like we were a burden to her. Even the students said something about it. Overall, don’t pass up boomtown when you’re in the iron range"

"Boomtown first timers. I visited with my husband for a nice dinner without our children. I believe our server’s name was Veronica. She was nice and attentive. We shared a margarita and the blueberry crush cocktail. Both were delicious. Our appetizers were a side Caesar salad and the cheese curds which are served with a raspberry chipotle sauce. I LOVE the curds and the sauce! My husband had the chimichurri ribeye with mashed potatoes and broccoli which he really liked. I had the black tie ribeye sandwich and parm truffle fries which I never had before. The sandwich was probably a 3.5 out of 5. The bun was a little dry and could have used a little extra meat. The fries were great! We took a piece of the gluten-free chocolate cake to go. Our dining experience was very good and we enjoyed our kid-free evening. The only reason for not rating a 5 out of 5 was due to a bit of a wait for our food. We look forward to coming back next time we’re in the area. :-)"
